The Munro-Bagger's Bark

Scotland has 282 Munros, the mountains over 3,000 feet, and plenty of dogs have stood on top of them. The Munro-Bagger's Bark celebrates the dogs who climb them with their owners: send us your summit photo and your dog could be on our wall.

FAQ

Can I take my dog up a Munro?

Yes, many people climb Munros with their dogs. You are responsible for your dog's safety and for keeping it under control around livestock and wildlife, so build up fitness gradually and follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code.

How do I get my dog featured?

Email your summit photo, your dog's name and the Munro to hello@wagscotland.co.uk. Only send photos you took yourself, and we will ask before we publish anything.

What should I do if my dog is injured on the hill?

Keep your dog warm and sheltered. If you cannot get it off the hill yourself, call 999 or use the Emergency Text Service and ask for Mountain Rescue, who will respond to emergencies involving dogs.
