Yes, but every pet needs a ticket added to your CalMac booking, whether you sail Mallaig to Armadale on Skye or to the Small Isles of Eigg, Muck, Rum and Canna. Choose a pet lounge ticket to sit inside in the pet area (space is limited and can sell out) or a pet in car ticket if your dog stays in the car or out on the open decks. Dogs must be on a lead, kept off seats and out of food, drink and carpeted areas.

Yes, one medium-sized dog per booking in Standard Class, free, on a lead and off the seats. West Coast Railways does not allow dogs in First Class.

Do dogs need to be on a lead?

Many walks and estates here ask for leads, especially near livestock and ground-nesting birds from April to July. Follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and any local signs.
